have you seen ray? jamie foxx was awesome

the role of j.m. barrie for depp was just another role for him...now next year, when he gets nominated for both pirates II and charlie and the chocolate factory...no academy judge will be able to choose b/w the two and he'll get 2 awards

No, but I've seen enough of Foxx to know that he isn't enough of an actor for that award.

Nor was Denzel Washington for Training Day.

Foxx's Supporting Actor nomination for Collateral was a joke as well.

i do a lot of acting and i try to characterize so well that ppl. don't see michael perry on stage, they see my character...and i think foxx did that...i saw ray charles on the screen...until foxx took his glasses off near the end in that dream sequence

Washington's performance in Training Day was no different than any other role he has ever played. I'll give him one thing, he certainly has the "black man with a chip on his shoulder" character down pat.

Ethan Hawke was better in that film than Washington.
